Group Showing at Gelabert Studios
The story continues...
Opening show's reception was on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003 at Gelabert Studios Gallery in New York City. The artist displaying their works of art were: Laughlin, Baratto, Saavedra, Waller and Rios
We had a mixed crowd of invities by all the artist. Jose Rios, Nicholas Barrato & Vincent Saavedra were all present.
"Great art work, you continue to grow as an artist Bravo" was a quote taken from the sign-in book written by Marianne McNamara of the West Side Art Coalition who was an invited guest of Jose Rios.
Jose had a lot of new pieces most of which displayed a hint of his prior works with a very new twist. Jose is moving forward in his life and in his painting. He is growing as an artist and developing a new and exciting style. In walking through the gallery you were able to distinguse his works of art from the rest but some did stop and ask if this one or that one was his do to his new style that was very prominent in a few of his new art pieces.
All in all it was a great opening to this group showing. All the artist invite you to come on down to the gallery and sample a few of their works of art. The show will run through Feb 29, 2004.
